FLOWER ESSENCES:
THE CUTTING EDGE OF COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY

Flower Essences are a remarkably effective complementary therapy, and are part of the emerging new field of energy medicine.

Bach flower essences are one part of complentary therapy which use a much wider range of flower essences. The first thirty-eight flower essences were developed around 1900, by the well-known homeopathic physician, Dr. Edward Bach. These 38 essences became known as the Bach Flower Essences. And though there has been a virtual explosion of thousands of new flower essences in the past 30 years, relatively few people know what profound instruments of healing they are.

If you are one of many who hasn't heard much about flower essences - or if you only know of the Bach Flower Essences - it's not your fault. In America, Aromatherapy and Essential Oils (which are not the same thing) have received much wider press, and much of our society has not been ready to embrace the power of subtle, non-physical energies.

But to our good fortune, makers of flower essences have persisted in bringing to us the healing messages of flowers, plants, gems and even specific environments. The range of uses is remarkable, and the results have often been amazing. Flower Essences have become a complementary therapy that is truly unparalleled in its ability to help us change ingrained negative emotional and behavioral patterns, as well as clear the effects of trauma - recent and old.

Moving Beyond the Bach Flower Essences

Flower essences and complementary therapy can help both people and animals.I currently work with over 600 flower essences from companies worldwide. In addition to the Bach Flower Essences, I use Alaskan, Living Essences of Australia, South African, FES, Findhorn, Hummingbird, Canadian Forest, Desert Alchemy, and others.

Why so many different flower essences? There are so many forms of trauma, so many varieties of anxiety and depression, so many reasons behind shyness or aggression - the 38 Bach Flower Essences cannot possibly address them all. Your depression has a different energetic quality to it, than does John Doe's depression - and therefore, each of you will respond to a different flower essence. This is why having lots of essences to work with enables me to tailor a formula that will precisely fit you, or your animal.

How Flower Essences Are Made:

  • Like homeopathy, flower essences are energetically-based liquid infusions. They have almost no biochemical component, aside from the water that contains them.
  • There are a number of ways to make a flower essence, but it basically involves the transfer of a plant's energetic pattern  to water.
  • Water is able to hold that energy pattern and convey it to us.

What Flower Essences Do

The following is a very general explanation of the effects of flower essences. (For  specific details and examples, see Essences and People, and Essences and Your Pet.)

Original art work by Judy Aizuss. When a person or animal takes the right flower essences for their problem  (essences that resonate with their energy pattern), they will receive an energetic message from the essence. This "message" enables the recipient's own energy to shift into a more balanced and productive pattern.

For people, flower essences can produce fairly rapid shifts in awareness, perception or feelings. As a result of using your essences - over time, and as instructed - you may:

  • Experience much less anxiety, fear, shame and other debilitating negative feelings.
  • Have greatly improved self-esteem and self-confidence.
  • Acquire an ability to think more clearly.
  • Achieve new insights or perspective on a problem.
  • Be able to relate to others in a different and more positive way.
  • Be able to take positive actions that you were unable to before.

In short, flower essences act to reduce the influence of negative or blocked energies within yourself, and release your true potential. They produce neither the high, nor the sedating effects, nor the side effects, of drugs. Instead, they help release and balance your own innate energies. Flower essences, when used periodically as a complementary therapy, or alone as a personal growth tool,  can lend you the power and ability to transform your life in the direction you want to go.  To Learn more, please visit my page about how I Help People.

For animals, some flower essences have an almost instantaneous calming effect - but many essences achieve much more than that:

Flower essences and complementary therapy can help solve problems with your pets.Deeply entrenched issues and otherwise untreatable behaviors can be permanently shifted.

  • The negative effects of old abuse or trauma can be permanently cleared.
  •  Personality imbalances, such as overly-timid, or overly-aggressive, can be improved.

Flower essences can successfully address an amazingly wide range of specific issues. Even though I have been using them with animals for a number of years, I am still astonished by the dramatic changes that often occur - emotionally, behaviorally, and even physically.  To Learn more, please visit my page about how I Help Animals.
