Flower
essences may assist you with a vast array of issues.
They can assist with simple stress relief, or they can
act as agents of profound emotional healing, personal
and spiritual growth. A sampling of the problems
that flower essences can relieve include the following:
- Low self esteem,
lack of confidence; unable to be assertive
- Codependency
issues
- Anxiety, fear,
and other stress responses - including social anxiety,
fear of test taking, fear of public speaking, fear
of flying
- Psychosomatic
symptoms, or chronic illness which may have an emotional
component
- Stuck in negative
beliefs, emotions, and behaviors; unable to move
ahead with your life
- Hypersensitivity
- Unresolved
grief
- Negatively
affected by old trauma or abuse
- Negative patterns
of behavior in relationships or at work
- Conflicts
related to work, life direction, goals
- Unable to
access or use your power and potential
To
give you a better sense of just how specific flower
essences are, and how they can help, let's take the
example of codependency. When someone tells me they
are codependent, my first step is to find out exactly
how they express their codependency. Rather, codependency
is made up of one or more of the following issues: 1
- Excessive worry and anxiety about
others; helping too much, to the detriment of one's
own life
- Forgetting to think about yourself
- Constantly putting other people's
needs ahead of your own
- Difficulty being assertive with
what you want; caving in to outside pressure
- Being a "people pleaser"
- Fear of judgement, criticism
- Low self esteem; feeling undeserving
- Lacking confidence or motivation
to do something meaningful with your life
Here are examples of two women, each
with different symptoms of codependency, who were
helped by a combination of flower essences and
counseling. There is no such thing as a single "codependency
flower essence" that will work for everyone.
Codpendency is really a collection of emotional issues,
and there are many flower essences which can speak to
some aspect of each issue. My job is to find which flower
essences are the right ones for you.
Example 1
Margarita was a stay-at-home mom,
married with three children - two daughters, eight and
ten, and a 15 year-old son. Her codependency manifested
as dissatisfaction with her life. She was a great Mom,
but as her children were growing more independent, Margarita
was at a loss over what to do with her time. She had
some creative ideas, and loved to write, but no confidence
or motivation to do anything about it. She was also
angry that her husband didn't spend more time with her,
yet had trouble being assertive with him. Margarita
did three sessions with me on this topic, involving
both counseling and flower essences.
Flower Essences given: The flower
essences I gave Margarita included one for people who
feel victimized by others; one for strengthening her
sense of self esteem; another to reduce self-judgement;
and yet another essence specifically to bring out creative
expression in women who have been conditioned to subjugate
themselves to the needs of others.
Results:
Within a few months, Margarita decided to take a
training in working with children in a cutting-edge
spiritual program. She wrote a children's book and began
to look into getting it published. She stopped feeling
angry at her husband, and instead, was able to be assertive
and actively negotiate for pleasurable time together.
Example
2
Ricki
spent a lot of her energy and time trying to help her
sister, who was always having problems and emergencies.
But Ricki was unable to move ahead on her own career
plans to write screenplays. Ricki had lots of ideas,
but was unable to develop them. She complained of writer's
block. She had low self esteem, stemming from her childhood
in an alcoholic family.
Flower Essences given: Ricki did two
sessions with me spaced over a period of two months.
She received many flower essences, among them:
one essence for taking action that supports one's highest
truth; one to help her stop absorbing emotions from
others (her sister; and another for feelings of inadequacy
and depression.
Results:
Ricki's depression lifted, she was able to detach
from her sister's problems, becoming less codependent.
Ricki experienced greatly improved self confidence and
self esteem.
Flower Essences given, Round 2: About
a year later, Ricki was again having trouble getting
to work on her screenplay. At this time, she tested
for essences which assisted her in processing childhood
feelings of abandonment, resulting in her present inability
to commit herself to moving ahead in her life.
Results:
After taking these essences for three weeks, Ricki
reported a new sense of freedom. She felt that something
that was always stopping her from realizing her potential
is now gone. She felt "Oh, this is who I really
am!" She was able to write again and began submitting
her work.
As the above examples illustrate,
flower essences can help people make dramatic changes
in their lives. However, essences are not magic. Please
contact me only if:
- You are comfortable
with, or at least open to intuitive, extra-sensory,
and energetic modes of healing.
- You are a
person of high integrity.
- You are willing
to take responsibility for your health; you know
that growing and becoming healthy is a process in
which you need to fully participate. Essences can
help a lot - but they will not do your work for
you.
- You know that
sometimes you have to go through some discomfort
in order to feel better.
- You are looking
for ways to grow and fulfill your greatest potential,
and are willing to do some work on yourself to get
there.
- You know -
or at least have an inkling - that who you are extends
beyond your physical body.
- You are connected
- or want to be connected - to a Spiritual source.
